I had been learning Hebrew with Noam for 1.5 years. Since I already had an intermediate level, I asked her to focus mainly on speaking, so our lessons were great friendly hangouts, where various topics were discussed related to everyday life, books, topics that I found difficult for me, because of a lack of vocabulary or topics that helped me learn more words related to my professional field and helped me in my career. She is a great teacher and a wonderful person who helps you not only improve your language skills but also grow as a person.

Free coversation
In intermediate to advanced classes, the fluent conversation sometimes takes the whole time. For beginners, it is usually between 5-20 minutes. It all depends on your level, focus, and goals.

The second part of the class is individual and changes from class to class and person to person. Some people want to expand their vocabulary, focusing on a specific topic. Others want to improve reading & writing skills, or learn verb conjugations.

We end our class with a short review of the new words & topics, making sure it is all clear, and then – it’s homework time 🙂
We can discuss a schedule that best fits your goals and availability. I always say that learning a new language is like a “gym for your mind,” so starting with once a week is good, and twice a week is even better 🙂 It is up to your schedule, availability and budget.
For in-person lessons, bring a paper and pen. For online lessons, you’ll need a computer with a reliable internet connection. Feel free to bring any texts, songs, books, or topics you’d like to work on.
Yes, I assign homework to reinforce learning. For face-to-face lessons, I provide a special notebook for follow-up and sometimes recommend to purchase an Ulpan book. For online lessons, we use a shared document for it
I don’t like to measure progress in time manners because each one has their own pace and circumstances that allow them to focus on Hebrew more or less. So I suggest focusing on personal day-to-day progress, fitting your goals to your availability and level, making sure that each session, each day, there’s something new that you know, rather than looking too far into the future.
I adapt my teaching methods to each student’s learning style, whether you’re a visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learner. We’ll discover what works best for you and adjust accordingly.
Absolutely! I can tailor our lessons to focus on specific areas of interest, including business Hebrew, literature and media, or any other specialized topics.
I have a BA in Hebrew literature and language. I’ve taught for many years, working with hundreds of students in various Ulpans in Tel Aviv, private groups, and individuals. Hebrew is my main focus of interest – grammatically, culturally, and creatively.
